Project Management Training

Project Management Training

In the world of project management there are two predominant approaches.  PRINCE2 (Projects In Controlled Environments) and PMBOK (Project Management Body of knowledge).  The majority of recognised project management courses across will be accredited against one of these two approaches.

Both the PRINCE2 method and the PMBOK knowledge areas will support project managers to effectively control their projects.  At times we hear people in the project management training and consulting industry having preference over one against the other.  We don’t think it is so simplistic to have a preference for one or the other. Both PMBOK and PRINCE2 approach project management differently and if used correctly they in fact effectively complement each other. In summary, a skilled project manager is one that can apply the knowledge areas of PMBOK with the aid of the project management processes of PRINCE2.  It is for this fact that we encourage any one that has completed a PMBOK accredited course to also attend a PRINCE2 accredited course and vice versa.
